Bug [split] Site Troubleshooting
Moderator Note
Use this thread to post any issues, errors, or bugs you uncover in the main site.

--------------------

FYI, login doesn't work (for me) via the NCFC mainsite. However if I log in through the forum, I'm also logged in at the main site. I found that relevant to the booth registrations, so I just put this here.

RE: Booth Registrations are here
That's strange, what browser are you using? Does it throw an error about failing to log in, or does it say you're logged in but then you really aren't?

RE: Booth Registrations are here
Hey, I'm new to NCFC, but not new to fan games in general, and I have some questions...For the convention booths, are we allowed to submit WIP games? My Zelda fan game hasn't gotten much attention at all, between ZFGC, GMC, and another gaming site, so I can only hope you do allow WIP games.

It's not a heavy WIP, and has a lot of content, so it's not just a simple walking demo and whatnot. You can read about the features I have so far in the booth page (If it even exists...See below).

Also, for some reason, when trying to go to the booth designer for my submission (Didn't add the game file at first, have to add it now), it says it doesn't exist. Any reason?

I've got the same problem. I'm using Firefox 7.0.1.

I'm wondering the same thing. I set up a booth for my entry, and I wanted to see the page I did yesterday to check it for typing errors and stuff, but when going to do so it says it does not exist. Is it saying this because it was not approved yet or because it may have been lost somewhere along the line?

The booths are there, there just seems to be a bug with permissions for viewing and editing them right now; will be sorted out asap.

Firefox 7.0.1 for me too, and I get the message that I'm logged in as expected, but then I'm not logged in. Looks like some session/cookie problem.

RE: [split] Site Troubleshooting
For some reason the database isn't properly connecting the designed booths to their games... I'll go ahead and manually fix the database and then look into fixing the system as soon as I can.

For those experiencing the login issues, can you try clearing your cookies and then seeing if it works? The cookie header was tweaked slightly on the forums to allow the site to access it, and I'm thinking that the older cookies might be causing the issues.

I use FireFox 7.0.1 and haven't encountered the issues, so it's definitely something related to existing sessions/cookies. Thinking

EDIT: Okay, the issue with the booth designer should be properly resolved now for those making new booths.

I could swear I did that already, but I removed the cookies again. Works now.

I would like to know that myself.
