In a Zip file because despite this file host saying it accepts video, it refuses to accept the standard WebM format... >_>

Unfortunately, LiveStream also doesn't accept WebM for uploading. Nor can it successfully convert to MP4 or FLV iwth whatever encoding apps I throw it into.

There's a program that's called Ogg Convert on Trisquel/GNOME, though I don't know for sure if that's the program's real name. It's designed to convert nonfree formats like MP4 into Ogg video, but I think it supports converting other formats, so I'll try that when I get back to my PC at home. And I'll see if there are other similar programs in the Trisquel repo.

What formats does LiveStream accept? Is Ogg video (.ogv) one of them, at least?

I'll need to check on ogv.

I know it accepts .flv, .mp4, .wmv, and probably .avi and .mpg too.

You'd think they're on an active boycott of codecs that aren't patent-encumbered...

please tell me that at least uncompressed AVI is supported?

Raw file? Haha, good luck getting that transferred to me. :P

I could work with a raw uncompressed anyhow, either way.

Well, how about WMV? Does it support that?

http://www.webfilehost.com/?mode=viewupload&id=1029786

(I used WinFF to convert it)

If not, I can get you a Flash video file, WMV was just the first option I saw in WinFF, I didn't see FLV until after I uploaded that.

EDIT: In case WMV isn't supported, here's an FLV:

No worries, the WMV worked.

Hey Kiddo, is there a way to set a video on a timer so that it plays at a certain time? because my "NCFC 2012 Begins" video is only meant to play right when ncfc starts. Also, more bumpers on the way.

I think I'll just manually set that video to play if needed.

Anyway, are there any volunteers who want to trim down the "Zelda Untitled" and "Tzar Turmoil" gameplay vids into something more palatable?

RE: NCFC Livestream discussion.
On the livestream, I'm seeing all of my trailers for Super Mario RPG: Starlite Worlds.

But the only one I actually asked to put on it was the latest battle teaser.
The trailers being there isn't a big problem, but I'm curious as to whats going on.

RE: NCFC Livestream discussion.
What's going on is that I'm otherwise strapped for trailers. Up until today I was in fact struggling with trying to arrange the playlist to not look like a slew of superficially similar games with how many Zelda trailers I got, and even now I don't know if I want to keep "Zelda Untitled" footage up the way it currently is, even if it's not technically breaking my hardline rules, because seeing a slow, dark dungeon crawl without any BGM doesn't feel entertaining.

I pulled some of the older trailers out for padding. Midas Machine's trailers will probably be replaced with a 2012 one as supposedly that's being worked on. Don't know about the others.

It seems even with alerting people in advance, I won't be getting trailers until the event actually is in progress, which is kinda annoying when at that point I'd want to focus on making live events. But such is running this.

My schedule is finally cleared, so I'll be dishing out all of my bumpers now! Don't worry Kiddo, we're behind you all the way!

I was also thinking that maybe I could start helping you out a little more in managing the Livestream channel, you know, just to take some of the load, and contribute more to NCFC. But I dunno, what do you think?

Hmm. Maybe I should submit some footage of my submitted games to NCFC for the live stream. And with this information, I'll go prepare some footage right now.

Oh, ok. If you still need a little extra filler, here is the release trailer for my other game on here. SMRPG: Seven Sages.

The game is not new anymore, but exporsure never hurt.

If you don't need to add extra junk or it's too late, that's cool too.

RE: NCFC Livestream discussion.
Hey guys, do you folks want anything in particular to happen on Monday?

Currently there's nothing scheduled for the Livestream. If anyone wants to broadcast, please post a schedule here and tell me what you plan to do. Probably hoping for someone streaming a game or something.

I could attempt to play Psycho Waluigi, since it's the only game that'll work on a mac.

Since I'm not a Windows user anymore, I looked through all the Mario and Metroid fangames in NCFC this year. Only one will work on anything other than Windows, as far as I can tell: Super Mario War: Stomp Arena, which is written in Java (7). So why don't you give that one a try? :)
